Janette is one of those people that make you wonder if they have more hours in the day than most everyone else. Not only is she a successful multi-million dollar sales producer providing great service to her clients, but she is a leader in the MCC Board of Realtors and our local community, and an emerging leader in real estate at the state level.
“Janette was a godsend to us for her guidance, timeliness, and instructions, or we wouldn’t have made it to the closing. Our house was nothing fancy, but it was OUR house and it was important to us. There were many ups and downs and there are truly not enough words to explain what she did for us,” states one of her clients. “I love real estate because no day is the same and every client is different, with different wants and needs,” Janette notes. Her desire to meet any challenge has led her to earn special designations and certificates from the National Association of Realtors such as the Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), At Home with Diversity, and Military Relocation Professional certificates. “I do love working with senior citizens in real estate and I have a strong pull to help with estates because they are at an end, and I believe it is one of the most emotional transactions we deal with,” she states.
“I love where I live, so it’s easy to market and sell properties here. Our community sells itself,” she adds. Janette has certainly been an active participant in making her community strong. She has served as Board Chair of the Murray-Calloway County Chamber of Commerce in 2020-2021 and served on the Board prior to that. She participated in the Leadership Murray Class of 2017-2018 and has been a Leadership Murray Coordinator from 2019 to the present. She has also been President and board member of the Calloway County Alumni & Associates of Calloway County Schools.
At the state level of Kentucky Realtors, Janette serves in many positions. She has just been elected KY Realtor Director at Large for the 2024-2026 term. Reflecting her commitment to ethics, she serves as a Professional Standards State Ombudsman and is on the state Professional Standards Committee. Janette was class president of the Leadership Kentucky Realtors’ Class of 2019 and has continued to work with the program since and will serve as the 2024 Chair of the KYR Leadership Academy. Janette’s focus on leadership programs in Murray and at the state level is because she believes in developing leaders for our local community and statewide.
At the local Realtor level, Janette has served on the MCC Board of Realtors and was President in 2020 and 2022. She was recognized as the Hoyt Roberts Award winner in 2019, which is given for significant service to the board during the first three years as a member.
Janette’s commitment to her own education and professional development is reflected in the other designations and certificates she has earned in addition to the three mentioned earlier. She is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), which places her in the top 2% of Realtors nationwide, and has also earned her Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). In addition, she has earned the Commitment to Excellence (C2EX) endorsement, which empowers Realtors to reach their highest levels of professionalism.
Janette’s current pastime activities include “whatever my son, Ryan, is doing, which currently involves a lot of Trap Shooting.” Ryan is a senior at Calloway County High School. Along with her husband, Jody, the HR Manager with Saputo Dairy Foods USA in Murray, the family loves boating and relaxing on Kentucky Lake, Janette is an active member of the Glendale Church of Christ. She also adds that she does love a good book.
